Lift Run Rehab exists to bridge the gap between physiotherapy and personal training. We combine clinical understanding with strength coaching to help you transition beyond pain, rebuild capacity and train with purpose again.
When it comes to training in real life, most people don’t struggle with effort, but with direction. From training too hard and breaking down or recovering from injury without ever fully returning to performance, the result is the same cycle repeating.
We provide the essential framework that connects rehab and training into one clear system.
Founder of Lift Run Rehab, Michael’s approach to coaching is built on both academic expertise and years of hands-on experience in strength training, rehabilitation and performance coaching. He holds a Master of Exercise Physiology and a Bachelor of Health Science from the University of Sydney, is an ASCA Level 1 Strength & Conditioning Coach and is a certified Sports Nutritionist.
But his understanding of the body didn’t start in the classroom; it started in sport.
From a young age, he was heavily involved in competitive sport, where discipline, performance and pushing physical limits were part of everyday life. That early exposure shaped how he now views training: as a systematic process of adaptation.
Working with clients revealed a consistent pattern. Most weren’t limited by effort, they were limited by structure. Some were training hard but breaking down with recurring injuries. Others were stuck in rehab without a clear return to real training.
That disconnect between physiotherapy and personal training is what led to Lift Run Rehab.
